Employee Referral Program

At SmartEdge IT, LLC., we believe that our employees play a key role in helping us hire and retain top talent. We encourage our team members to refer friends, colleagues, and former co-workers for open positions. To recognize successful referrals, SmartEdge IT offers a cash bonus of $1,500 for each eligible referral that leads to a hire, following the guidelines outlined below.

Referral Program Process:

To refer a candidate, employees should send the candidate’s resume directly to the relevant hiring manager. If the candidate’s qualifications align with the job requirements, the hiring manager will initiate a phone interview. Should the candidate pass the phone interview, an in-person interview is scheduled. At this stage, the referring employee must complete an Employee Referral Form and submit it to Human Resources.

Referral Bonus Payment Structure:

Eligible employees will receive a $1,500 referral bonus if their candidate is hired and remains employed for at least six months. This bonus is paid in two installments:

1. First Payment: $1,000 after the new hire completes three months of employment.
2. Second Payment: $500 after six months of employment.

All bonus payments are subject to standard tax withholdings.

Eligibility for Referral Bonuses:

Referral bonuses do not apply to referrals of rehires or individuals returning from leave. To qualify for bonus payments, the referring employee must still be employed at SmartEdge IT on the specified payout dates. To maintain impartiality, bonuses are not provided for referrals made by management or HR employees. Any inappropriate conduct related to the program will result in forfeiture of the referral bonus.

Program Oversight:

All open positions for employee referrals are posted in designated areas, such as the lunchroom, and are maintained by the HR Department. HR is responsible for managing the referral program, processing forms and bonus requests, and resolving any disputes related to referrals.
